8月後半から秋にかけて、遠野の高清水展望台では、条件がそろうと幻想的な「雲海」を見ることができます。標高約798mの高清水山から見下ろす遠野盆地。
朝霧が盆地をすっぽりと覆い、朝日が昇ると雲海が黄金色に輝くことも。特に9月中旬から11月上旬の早朝は、雲海に出会えるチャンスが高まります。写真のような絶景を目指して、少し早起きしてみませんか？Lien遠野から高清水展望台までは車で約40分。
雲海を見た後は、古民家の宿でゆっくり朝の時間をお過ごしください。

🌄 Autumn in Tono — Sea of Clouds
From late summer through autumn, the Takashimizu Observatory offers a spectacular view of the “sea of clouds” when weather conditions are right.
From an elevation of about 798 meters, you can look down over the Tono Basin as morning mist covers the landscape like a vast ocean.From mid-September to early November, early mornings offer some of the best chances to see this magical phenomenon.
And when the morning sun rises, the clouds can glow beautifully in golden light.
Why not wake up a little early and experience one of Tono’s most breathtaking landscapes?
Takashimizu Observatory is about a 40-minute drive from Lien Tono.
After watching the sea of clouds, come back to our traditional farmhouse and enjoy a peaceful morning in the countryside of Tono.
The sea of clouds is a natural phenomenon and cannot be guaranteed.
